WOOHOO!

SPMS SUPREMES 10/11 is o-v-e-r!

It was really a tiring camp with many activites like Amazing Race, Fright Night, SP Night, Field & Dirty, Initiation, Beach Games, SP interaction, Ice-Breakers, etc. SHAGGED. Slept about 3-4 hours per day for the 5 days. =( BUT, it was a fun camp! Got to know each other better and made new friends. Enjoyed it. =)

this is bad. really bad. i don't understand why i am not a bit excited about my birthday this year. many many things happened. i'm frustrated. to the max. i'm irritated. to the max. stressed out. somebody help me.
it's just like i have just fallen down from nowhere. it's painful. and i'm beginning to feel numb. feel obilivious to everything around me. what is happening to me. i need to talk.

Things have been going bad for me.

Got sick after Ignite Change 2010 Senior's Camp. Something bad happened. Really lost. No mood. Felt that friends are drifting more and more away from me. Doesn't want that to happen, but it takes 2 to clap. It's hard, it's hard. After this, I must and will cherish friends around me. I wonder why people will only learn to cherish once they have lost it. Why can't they understand this when the people and things are with them and only regret after they are gone? Well, i guess it just takes the opposite to know the best.

KIDS SUMMER CAMP 2010 is fun! =)

Day 1:
MASS DANCE - PUMP IT! woo! I really had fun dancing on the table - nice song plus nice dancers! =) HAHA. So i think i can dance! BUT, the kids called me elephant and king kong.. =((( cause there were certain steps where we need to jump. SO i jumped and the table shaked and there was a loud sound. =x Well, this proves im enthusiastic in the dance okay! Not anything else..
Next up is ballon sculpting. Learnt how to make dog, elephant, mouse, rabbit, sword and hat! Woo! =) fun! And learnt many science experiments related to balloon!
Then it was YOGA. It was not bad again.. but mass dance was better! =) But the steps were really good. I should do them everyday! Helps improve circulation and eyesight!

Day 2:
YOG Talk by hexiang and me!!! =x It was kind of boring.. for the front part(cause it was hexiang doing the talk. HAHA!) Then i continued with the QnA and the song "Everyone" which is the YOG theme song. The QnA captured most if not all of the kids' attention, which made me really happy! =) The song too! Almost everyone sang together! =) I wonder if its because of the prizes.. haha but well, i really enjoyed myself! First time giving such a talk for almost an hour. Luckily, its to a group of children. Not much stress.
Then it was AMAZING RACE! I was in-charge of Mattress Wrestling and Wu Shu Spar. Haha mattress wrestling was quite a rough game. 2 kids cried because of that. =( Wonders why the student affairs office actually approved that game.. Well, but i can tell the kids enjoy it!
As for Wu Shu Spar, i was sick of the game.. Its something like Hai Dai. Quite boring.

Made many new friends during the camp! =) Woo!

On a sad note,
i wonder if people are like that - Once they get it, they don't cherish it. Well. I don't know if you are reading this. But i seriously hope you are. Its been like that for the past few months. I don't know how to feel or what to say anymore. I need a reply. I need to level up. I will hold on to this little hope left.

Results for sem 2 are out.

MIXED FEELINGS.
I really dont know what and how to feel.
The module that i expect to get at least a B+ ended up B.
The module that i expect to get below B+ ended up A-.
WTF is this? Are you playing a trick on me? I really don't know whether to be happy or not. This is seriously weird. I'm not even feeling happy for the module that i expected an A-. That B seriously hit me. A LOT. IF ONLY i got a B+. IF ONLY i SU-ed it. But this is impossible. Because it's the module which i'm most confident of! WTF.
But well, at least i didn't listen to my friends and SU-ed the A- modules. If not, my GPA will be much lower. This is a blessing in disguise.
Just wonder where i stand in my cohort.

HELLO!!!

EXAMS ARE O-V-E-R!!! WOOHOO! Its been really tough to face the battle quite alone as most of my friends finished their exams a week before.. BUT its now over! Had a great time celebrating! =)

They came my house for MAHJONG! Won about 2 bucks. Then proceeded to Holland V for XIAO LONG BAO BUFFET! OMG. Its really A LOT A LOT of food. I ate until i really felt like crying.. =( I'm never gonna eat that for a few months at least. STEAMBOAT plus i think 10 XIAO LONG BAOS for me. We ordered way too much for steamboat. Couldn't finish them. So we did the usual stuff - stuffing food in prawn shells, under plates, etc. There is BEEF, MUTTON, PORK, PRAWNS, many kinds of fishballs, porkballs, sotong balls, mushrooms, vegetables, etc. And initially we ordered 30 longs of xiao long bao for 6 people! LOL. Luckily, we changed to only 15. PHEW. If not, i will really cry.

Went to Minfong's hall next! For WEREWOLVES! It's a fun game i must say. Haha. I like such intellectual games! Must think of strategies to win the game if you are the wolf. And i won a game being a wolf! It's hard okay! HAHA must use reverse psychology! COOL. But if you are a villager, its not that fun anymore. Had a lot of fun! Then, some people went to sleep, including me. Woke up around 7 to bathe and eat breakfast. Slept for about 1 hour only. THEN OFF TO KUKUP! =)

FIRST time out with friends to overseas! Had really a lot a lot of fun! I truly enjoyed the outing! =)
The bus ride there was really fast! Including going through customs, total time needed to reach kukup was only 2hours! Cool. Then ate our lunch at around 1130. SEAFOOD - CHILLI CRAB(my favourite), PRAWNS, MUSSELS & OYSTERS, CUTTLEFISH, FRIED FISH, VEGETABLES! Truly a fishing village! AFter this, we boarded a boat to our apartment! WOW! It was really big! I think its a little bigger than my house! There were 2 tables of mahjong and karaoke to keep us occupied. So some of us played mahjong and the rest sang karaoke. Of course, i played mahjong! But i was really unlucky. REALLY REALLY unlucky. =( Wondered where my luck has gone to. Lost 9bucks in total. Then i went to sleep, while the rest continued. I slept from 3plus to 7! Missed the teabreak, which i heard consisted of curry and beehoon. Went to take a walk around the fishing village. WOW. You wouldn't believe it. The apartments are really nice! They are like bungalows in Singapore! Imagine those in a fishing village?!?! Weird right? But yeah, its true.
Had BBQ seafood dinner at 8. WOW. MY FAVOURITE STINGRAY! =) NICE! Stingray, prawns, chicken wings, prawn crackers, otah, sausages, hotdogs, etc. HAHA i ate like 6 small stingrays myself! =) Cool.
Then its FIRECRACKERS time! Woah we spent around RM170 on them, which is about 70SGD. But its really fun! Tried many kinds of firecrackers - bumble bee, 21 guns, rockets. COOL! Had fun lighting them! =)
All of us went to bathe next. Then its WEREWOLVES time again! Not much fun this time round, cause some of us were too tired and there were too many people. So the game lasted for a much longer time. Got bored playing and being the narrator. =x
So we changed to BLACKJACK! As usual, peng yan was the banker. Haha KUDOS to him for always being the banker! =) It was fun playing and reliving the CNY times! My sis and i won RM2. LOL.
Went to sleep at around 3 plus 4.

Woke up around 9 plus. I went to bathe and ate breakfast, then its time to go! Took pictures with the apartment. Then its seafood lunch again! WOOHOO! =) Nice! BLACK PEPPER CRAB this time round, and almost the same stuff as the lunch the day before. Ate really a lot as it was nicer! I think i won't touch seafood anytime soon. =x

Went to buy lots of crackers and titbits! Spent RM52 on them. Then we went back to customs. Some of us went city square while the rest went home-sweet-home!
Haha, its my first time to CITY SQUARE. Cool. The shopping centre is big! Somewhat like VIVO city. Ate SWENSENS and Kim Gary Restaurant. The swensens is much cheaper than the one in Singapore. Same price but different currency! ARGH. Similar for Kim Gary. And can you believe it? My sis and I only spent RM8 on 2 milk teas and 4 chicken wings. LOL! Which means about 3 plus bucks. OMG. Let's go there man! =)

Then went home-sweet-home. =)

MPS811 Defence Science:
Hope that I can pass.. if not im going to jump!

MAS113 Calculus ||:
My A- is gone.. I think i kinda know my grade already, from the solutions posted.. B+. Well, be happy with it........... But i know i wont. Cause i know its hard to get A- and above for cores, and i was so close, with my good midterm grade, and now i am so far. AWWWW. =( someone console me pls.

MAS114 Linear Algebra 1:
I think i will get B+, judging from the paper and what my friends feel about it. Hopefully i'm lucky enough to get A-, and i will jump once more!

HE101 Microeconomics Principles:
B+ once again.. I think no chance for an A-.. Everyone is gonna get at least 50 marks for the back part of the paper. So it all depends on the front. I didn't do that well for the front, so i guess i will be happy with a B+?

HE202 Intermediate Macroeconomics:
6th May 0900-1130am..
I JUST HOPE FOR A B+, so i can kind of maintain my GPA. PLS BLESS ME WITH THIS. I NEED A LOT OF BLESSINGS.
5 days to mug real hard, although i know i won't have much determination to do so, seeing most of the people around me having fun and enjoying their holidays..
Well, good for you people and hope you PLAY HARD after the torture and suffering from the exams..

So, overall, i hope i will get GPA 4.0 this sem at least. BLESS ME.

Totally GREEK to me. Had much trouble going through 100 such questions.. OH MAN.
Seriously hope i will pass, if not i have to face those 100 questions again.. PRAY HARD FOR ME!!

Today is the last lesson of HW111A.

I must say it has been a useful course for me for the past semester. I learnt many things which are very applicable to my future. They are as follows:

1. Writing positive and negative messages, so as to phrase the letter in a better way such that it does not irritate the recipient and show any signs of rudeness

2. Writing business letters and emails to people of higher status

3. Various types of communication; verbal and non-verbal aspects, and also inter-cultural communication

4. Techniques of writing a good resume

5. Steps to become a good presenter and how to set up presentation slides and to present well, for example, eye contact, good articulation, fluency, confidence and interaction with the audience

6. Interview skills(how to handle interview questions and answer what the interviewer wants)

All, if not most of the above are very relevant to the entry of the working world and the working world itself. This course prepares you and equips you with the necessary tools to face many challenges when it comes to applying for jobs and when one is on the job as well.

The 3 assignments, namely the Case Study Analysis, Resume Writing and the Oral Presentation, allowed us to see where we stand at this particular moment. This allows for further improvements in these areas, which is of great help in the future. For instance, one has to do many presentations in time to come. By having this assignment, it reflects the aspects we need to improve on so that we will be able to have a better presentation the next time round. Also, the resume writing assignment taught me how to write a better resume such that I will have a higher chance of getting called for interviews.

enjoyed doing the Oral Presentation with my group as the topic on Ris Low is an interesting one, at least to me. I enjoyed the times when we met up to rehearse and bonded together and also to have Ris Low as our main entertainment tool. From this, I learnt a lot on the importance of good pronunciation and articulation. Furthermore, the story of Ris Low has sparked many opinions from the public, such that it led to many videos and articles about good English and Singlish in Singapore. Many criticised her English and pronunciation, which made me more motivated to hone my speaking skills and not follow in her footsteps. I also learnt that non-verbal communication is also important as most of the times, it tells one much more than verbal communication. Ris Low has poor non-verbal skills at the beginning. Now, we see that she has been trying her best at interviews. Good for her, as long as she wants to improve, and I have to improve on my speaking too.

Overall, I feel that this course has certainly taught me many things, which are closely related to my future. It will be a great help when it comes to the working world.

HELLO! I'm back again! =)

It's been almost a month ever since i last blogged. I need to blog more often to brush up my english! All because of this communications module i have to take. I have to write resume and give oral presentation! It's another GP cum Project Work course.. =( test on my english skills again. But on a positive note, it helps in my future! Improves communications and teaches me how to write good resumes. =)

Anyway, i have been rather busy with many stuff. Just to name a few, YOG training (i signed up as a volunteer! Will be able to see the athletes then! =) ), SPMS FOC(programmer), GL for WSC Ignite Change 2010 Camp, NTU open house, and also, i'm learning JAPANESE TOO! (LOL. I'm supposed to be in the class learning jap now.. but lazy to go. =x ironic. opps.)

Well, for school work, I've been trying my best to catch up with the tutorials and lectures. Still behind for microecons and intermediate macroecons. On time for the rest of the modules. I guess, after all, i still prefer doing math to econs. And one thing, the lecturer sucks! ARGH. I don't like her. No notes. Didn't go through the tutorials thoroughly. Skipped a few tutorials and expect us to read her answers given. Worse, 20 MCQs for half an hour. Nice.

HELLO!

It's been a month since i updated my blog. Been really busy for the past month. Trying to catch up on studies cause the lecturers are going like a bullet train... And i'm not done catching up yet due to CNY!

HAPPY CNY and VALENTINE'S DAY! =)

CNY this year was not quite the same compared to previous years, in the sense that i have to worry about my studies! =( Sad thing yeah. Having a quiz tmr and not done revising yet. Forget it. Bid goodbye to my other 2%. Anyway, i was quite unlucky this TIGER year. Kept losing in mahjong and blackjack. =( Luck got a bit better but still, i got net losses.

Valentine's day was cool. The NARUTO guys got the girls a red rose each and we, the girls got them a bag of chocolates. Had a great time with NARUTO so far! Enjoyed their company! Thanks guys! =)
Went to have lunch and catch a movie. Had a fun time! =) Hope this can last for as long as possible.

Sucks. I always wonder why holidays passed by so quickly whereas school days pass so slowly... Looking forward to RECESS WEEK where its another round of MAHJONG! =)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! WELCOME 2010! =)

Haha.. apparently, the new year isn't very good for me.
Firstly, i got hit 3 times by volleyball and a stupid bottle cap when i went sentosa to 'countdown'. Well, its with ' ' because it wasn't really a countdown; we went there for bbq and there wasn't the atmosphere cause we went to palawan instead of siloso.
Secondly, i didn't really have the new year mood. Just don't have the mood. Don't know how to put it. Not looking forward to it. Just different from the past years. What is wrong? SO freaking wrong. I guess this year will be worse than last year. I just pray for my results. Others can wait. Lost all hope. The new year sucks.

Quite upset with certain modules which i thought i will get at least an A-. But well, it seems that i forgot all about the AH TIONGS. Forget it. Its out. Can't change anything.

Anyway, 2009 is ending soon and i don't have any resolutions. Maybe time just passes too quickly to even notice its almost the last day of December 2009. The first semester in NTU, making new friends and prospective people, happiness, sadness, disappointments, learning from mistakes which i hope i won't make again, etc. Hope the New Year will be a good one for me. Praying..

WOO!! I'M BACK FROM SWITZERLANDDDD!!! =)

It's been a short 9 days.. starting to miss the place already.. the mountains, the snow, the many places of interest!! Photos in FB!

Day 1:
Well, was very tired with the 3hours transit from singapore to doha then to zurich. It was 18degrees in Doha. And when we reached Zurich, it was 5degrees. WOO! COLD! My bro came to fetch us from the airport. Reached Zurich Flughafen at 3plus i think. Went to Interlaken to check into our first hotel - Hotel Merkur(3-star). The room was very small. =( Just like a chalet room in Singapore. So we put down our luggage. It was already quite dark at 5 plus(wow!), so we went Bern - the capital of Switzerland for dinner. First meal in Switzerland! =) Well, it was all the knife and fork. It was so damn expensive! Just to quote one, Macdonald's. The Fillet Burger in Singapore alone just costs 3,4bucks. But in Switzerland, its like twice the price! 6franks! Multiply that by 1.38. Went to look at the streets of Switzerland and the 3 Bears. But well, it was too dark for us to see anything and all the bears went hibernating in winter. Sad.

Day 2:
Went for breakfast at 7. As usual, knife and fork. Bread, cereal, ham, turkey, bacon... Checked out our first hotel and proceeded to the second hotel - Hotel Weisses Kruez(also a 3-star hotel i think). But, this was much better. The room was big! =) The receptionist was handsome! LOL. He briefed us on the places of interest in Interlarken. So kind of him! Then we went to the MOUNTAINS! YAY! Grindelwald(First)! Took the train up there! Oh one thing i must say, their transport system is the best! They have exact timings for the trains and buses! Unlike Singapore where we do not know when the next bus will be coming(we must call or send sms to know right?)! So DAMN COOL! I like! So we can plan our trip properly. And the trains and buses leave punctually on time! =) Someday i hope Singapore will have this. But the tranport costs are very expensive too!! A train ride (1hour to-and-fro ride) can cost about 27franks. Again, multiply by 1.38.
WOO it was snowing! My first time seeing snow! HAHA. I love it! =) YAY! Walked up further and took the cable car. Our initial plan was to ski or sleigh down.. but we were too late!!! =((( The sky was getting dark already(we reached there around 3). So the lady recommended us to walk down. Imagine, walk down the SNOW. The thick snow. For about 30mins. What an unforgettable experience! WOO! =) Had fun walking in the snow, playing with the snow, throwing snowballs at each other and rolling down the snow!!! Haha. The snow was damn soft. So most of the times my leg would sink to the middle part of the snow. The deepest was until my knee cap! And the most funny thing was my mum! She kept falling! Walk a few steps and you see her on the ground again. HAHA. Should have taken a video of the whole process. FUNNY. LOL. After that, she was so afraid of walking in the snow. Warned us not to go to the snow anymore. But well, the very next day, we went again. =x Took cable car down and went for dinner. While walking down she fell once again! OMG. I thought with the experience of walking in thick snow, she would be able to walk properly on normal ground filled with a bit of snow here and there. But i was wrong. She fell a few times. HAHA. Even the people around us laughed when she fell...

Day 3:
The usual same breakfast. Set off early to JungFrau(Young women) - the top of Europe, about 12000ft above sea level. WOO. Very cold too. The train took us to Eigerwand and Eismeer. Stopped at 5mins at each stop. Went to the ice palace! Everything was ice! COOL! And of course, the ice was very slippery. I had to hold onto the bar to walk! WOO!
Then went around to explore. Wanted to go for Husky-Sleighing, but it was CLOSED!!!! =((((( so sad so sad. WHAT A WASTE. SAD.
Went for dinner. And hotel sweet hotel.

Day 4:
Went to take the ship all the way to Thun at 2pm. Boring trip. Real boring. There was nothing to do in the ship. Just admiring the scenery and mountains. And it was a long 3hours plus ride. Slept for a while actually. Reached Thun at 5plus. There was nothing much to see as night falls at that time. The shops were mostly closed by then. So what to do? Took a train back to Interlarken. Had dinner again.

Day 5:
Checked out from the hotel. Brought all our luggage to Luzern, where my bro's convocation will be held at one of the hotels there. Took a train there as usual, with our SWISS PASS. Damn expensive. 195franks for youths(<26years) and 260 for adults for 4 consecutive days of travel. Well, no choice. For convenience. Checked in to our last hotel - Hotel Flora(3 or 4 star hotel). The room is so small for 3 people to stay! =( Unpacked stuff and went to explore Luzern while my bro gets the stuff ready for his convocation. Went to Emmen Center - the so-called biggest shopping center in Luzern. As usual, the stuff there are so expensive. Like espirit, almost the same price but in different currency. Can't afford to buy any. So just walked around the place.
He came to join us in the afternoon around 3pm. Went to the lion place(forgot what it's called) and to the old town for shopping! Finally a less expensive place to shop! And also finally a THAI meal for dinner! Ate Tom Yam soup, chicken, veg. The waitress got our order wrong and gave us a dish we didn't call. And she charged us for that. -.- TOtal was about 80franks for 4 dishes. But it was not bad. For a change. Then my bro went to play his maple while we went to the chapel bridge and looked at the swans and the ugly ducklings. LOL. The swans were very nice. Explored and admired the scenery. Went back hotel. Good night.

Day 6:
Went up to Mount Pilatus! =) Another mountain! SNOWWWW!! 7000ft. My mum was actually very afraid then we kind of forced her to go. Haha, to our surprise, she played with the snow. Threw snowballs at us! Haha so fun! Formed big snowballs and threw at each other! =)
Our next destination was the transport Museum! At first, the word 'museum' scares me. I thought it would be boring.. but it was not! It was so fun! =) Seeing all those old cars, trains, planes, etc.. And the most exciting thing was the Stimulator! My sis and i went to play this stimulator; you will be the pilot and can change pilots to control the plane! HAHA so fun! Almost turned the plane upside down but it was fun doing so! =)
And sadly, on our way to the transport museum, my bro didnt pay the bus fare. And so unluckily, the bus conductors came up the bus. Had to pay a fine of 80 FRANKS!!! WTH. So damn high fine! This goes the same for trains too. You cannot not afford to pay for the train ticket cause all the trains i took so far, the conductors came to check! Even more of a fine country than Singapore. =x Well, so my bro faked that it was his first day here and he didn't know he had to purchase a ticket. And he paid 50franks and got away with it. OUCH. Heart pain. By right, he got fined once. The second time caught without a ticket will have to pay 120franks. But well, with no record or passport, they can't do anything.
Went to eat at ASIA TOWN Restaurant. Finally different from the usual knife and fork. CHOPSTICKSS!! =) Had roast duck(WOOOO.. nice!) and tofu. And the meal costs about 70franks. Just 2 dishes and 4 rice. 1 rice costs 3 franks by the way. =x EXPENSIVE.

Day 7:
My bro's convocation. Congrats for getting FIST CLASS HONOURS! =) The 3 of us went Old Town for shopping in the morning FIRST. Bought some chocolates and blouses! YAY! Finally. =) Then had lunch and proceeded to Grand Casino Hotel Luzern for his convocation. Haha. Quite boring though. But the speeches made by the 2 students were good! APPLAUSE for them! =) Had some refreshments after that.
Went to Bern while my bro went to celebrate with his friends. Not much to see as most shops were closed and my mum was afraid to go too far from the station. Brought a drumstick each! WOW nice! =) And one more thing thats different from Singapore - Food and Drinks are allowed in the train. So we ate in the train. Woo.

Departure. My bro came to send us off. And it was a long way home...............

Overall, had lots of fun! I love the snow! =) YAY! Hope to go another europe country!

woo! I'm back! =)

Back from exams and CHALET! NARUTO CHALET! =) Thanks to Weijie for organising this and also getting the cooked stuff for the BBQ!

It was very fun and exciting! Met up at 3pm at JP to buy stuff for the BBQ. Got a surprise cause menghui brought his girlfriend along! HAHA! Not bad huh! Got one so fast! Good Job! =)

Went to minfong's hall for the chalet.
Started with TABOO. It was fun playing that! WOO! But not that fun with all those mosquitoes around biting almost everyone of us in the lounge! =(
Then it was BBQ time. Sadly, it was drizzling. So we waited for a while for the rain to stop. Started the fire and prepared the stuff like marshmallows and corn. Most of the time, it was Weijie and Raymond bbq-ing. HAHA Thanks thanks! =) We had the usual stuff for BBQ - chicken wings, otah, stingray(my favourite!), sotong, satay, prawns, bee hoon, corn, potato and many more! Nice food! =) Played zhong ji mi ma to finish off the food!
Went back to hall after that, which is around 11 plus. Played games like Saboteur(I like this game! Very fun!), UNO, Pictionary(fun game too!) and..... eh my memory's failing me. Well, we jut had a lot of fun! And i slept around 5 cause i was really sleepy. Wei Sheng, Chee Kiat and my sis slept too. They woke us up at 6plus for breakfast!!! AHHHHH. Destroyed my sleep. =( Went to JP for YAKUN. Sadly, they have not prepared my SILKYZ BARLEY yet. I must drink it before i leave for switzerland!! Went back to hall and my sis and i continued sleeping while the rest went to play wii, card games and frishbee. Woke up around 11 plus and went to find them. Played the last games of saboteur and it was very fun and exciting! The saboteurs( Phyliscia, my sis and i) nearly won! Great game anyway! WOO!
Then we went for lunch at NEWYORK NEWYORK! And celebrated the belated birthdays for the November Babies - He Xiang, Phyliscia and Junling! =) Had fun playing tricks on them! HAHA. But i guess we were all too shag for too much of that. Sang birthday song, distributed the presents and ate the cake. Too full for that too. =x
Went home after that! Had a fun and exciting time! =)

And i reached hom around 5plus. Went to sleep after bathing. Slept until i got up this morning at 10. Woke up a few times though. HAHA. Nice sleep anyway!

AHHH.. the past 2 weeks have been very busy for me..
busy with? what else but tutorials and tests?
ARGH.. and there's another test tmr! quite mad about it.. well, it's on a saturday.. once again..

I'm going mad soon.. with all the proving, C++ programming and genes! omg. why didn't i s/u the genes module? =( so much to memorise. shit. and talking about programming, there's another assignment needed to be handed up latest next sunday! it's damn tough. i guess i'm just gonna copy the solutions again. what happened to me? copying solutions without understanding. wth. whatever. just wanna get it over and done with and no more c++!

anyway, i'm so looking forward to the end of the month.. hurry up! 24 more days! and counting down..

woo! Had wedding lunch just now!

The bad thing was, i had to wake up damn early(630am).. Have to go all the way to my grandmother's place cause the bride and bridegroom had to serve tea to my parents. WOAHH.. and i slept at 12plus last night! =( sleepy.
Reached there at 9am. Took pictures. Played cards. Boring. Waste of time. Left the place around 1130 to set off to M Hotel. Again, we reached there very early.. Had nothing to do. Sian. Drank cocktails(coke, sprite and orange -.-). We went inside around 1. Video of their lives was first. The video was badly done. It had pauses eveyrnow and then and the music too. Bad. And the emcees still said, "Hope you enjoyed the video." -.- Then started serving. We had some starters like prawn fritters and fried springroll. Next was SHARK'S FIN, my favourite! =) Not bad i think. We also had Sea Bass, Mushroom and Broccoli, Prawn and Green Peas, Noodles, Roast Chicken, and lastly the Mango Dessert. The food overall wasn't great. I enjoyed the red wine and beer! Haha. The food portion wasn't enough too. Serves exactly 10 persons. Couldn't have a second helping. Ended around 4pm. Took last photos with the bride and bridegroom. And it was home sweet home after that.

I came home and slept until now. Damn tired. AHH. But it have been long since i went to a wedding. Cool.

Now it's back to tutorials and tutorials and tutorials. Have to chiong.

Bad day for me yesterday! I fell down while playing captain's ball............ No one tripped me. I fell by myself. =( I guess it's the wrong shoes im wearing. And now not only i have a scar on my kneecap, and blisters on my feet. I'm never going to wear that shoes while playing sports again! And this reminds me of that particular day where i fell down during Fun-O-Rama preparation. Ouch.
I have trouble walking cause it's kinda painful. Hope it heals soon!!

And well, we lost the match. As expected. Haha but we all had fun. Didn't exercise for a long time already! Good workout. Nice perspiring.

Now it's back to weekly routine of tutorials...

Went to meet up with my jc peeps on saturday for dinner! Didn't see them for a long time! Almost 2 months i guess.. Went cafe cartel at PS. Met up to send andy off for his 20 days' training in taiwan. ALL THE BEST!
And he asked us a very interesting question:
How to prove 0.9 recurring = 1?
HAHA.. this has kinda some link with what i'm studying now. PROVING!! Interesting indeed.

Then went to watch '(500) Days of Summer' with my CCA people. The storyline is not bad, but i thought it will be much more touching. Didn't watch movies for a long time.. Been mugging and being cooped up in the WEST SIDE. =(

Yesterday, it was MAHJONG session again! With Daniel, Meiyi, Shunqi at Gabriel's place! His place is damn far. And i went all the way there to lose money. SIAN. It's okay. It's for the fun of it.

The 3 tests are finally over! O-V-E-R!!!
First time in my life having 3 tests on a day!
MAS 110 was first.

MAS 112 was next. It was not bad. Planning to get around 90% for it, hopefully.
Mas 111 was the worst. PROVE, PROVE, PROVE!! ARGH. I guess i will barely pass it. I don't like proving, but i must force myself to like it. Cause the upcoming modules will more or less be related to proving, that is to say, i must prove more stuff in the coming years.................................... I'm not sure if i can take all the proving. Shall just take 1 step at a time.

After these few tests i took in U, i realised everything's different. It's different from JC style. Don't expect the papers to be easy, or maybe straightforward. No such thing. And everyone's so concerned about the GPA.
" Woah, this assignment is 5%. I cannot lose this 5%. I must do my best for it! It will affect my GPA if i don't."
It's so competitive. I guess i must change my perception and work hard for everything; both the major and minor tests.
Those who said A's are relatively easier than University, it's rubbish. If you are talking about freedom, yes, of course its true. You have more freedom in U. But the content is so much harder(well, it depends on the course you are taking too). It's more independent in U. I guess it's time for a change. It's not too late i hope.

Econs is bothering me too. Sucks. So different.

Hmmm.. Some of my friends were planning to S/U certain modules. I don't want to be influenced by them. I don't want to let this S/U option deter me from studying hard. If only there isn't such option.

LEWIS HAMILTON CAME IN FIRST! He led from start to the end with first position! OMG cool! Nicely done, hamilton! =)
As expected, there were accidents. One was due to Webber's brakes. He skidded quite a distance and hit the wall or fence you call it. The other was worse. Sutil from Force India hit Nick Heldfeld's BMW car and it's over for him. Sad.
And, All the best, Jenson Button! Hope you get the championship! Another 3 more races to go, you can do it! =)

Went to catch F1 Live on saturday with my sis for the practice and qualifying rounds. It's a walkabout. Quite cool! =) Went to get ear plugs first before heading there. WOW. There were many things on sale; f1 merchandise, ferrari, brawn gp, mclaren, even with lewis hamilton's face on them! LOL. Bought some souveniers back. DAMN EXPENSIVE. But well, supply is low and demand is high. So price increases. argh. Tired from walking all ove rthe place too.
Tried taking photos of the cars as they zoomed past us. But to no avail. They were too fast for my lousy camera. =x The photos were very blur! Nevertheless, the images are all in my head. HAHA. COOL stuff. =D I'm loving it.
However, watching at home has its advantages too. You will be able to catch all the incidents that happened and the other highlights of the race. Yup. Except that there is not much atmosphere at home. No sound of the f1 cars zooming very fast.
Maybe next time i shall get grandstand tickets for the finals. And get a dslr. Next year.

woohoo!

Got my best lunch(or brunch) ever! Went to Equinox at Swissotel to have Brunch. OMG. 70 floors high. All the small toy cars on the road. I can see the whole view from there; the Singapore Flyer, the Esplanade, the many hotels, the Merlion, etc... Cool sight. It's mcuh higher than the Singapore Flyer. WOo! =) Not only the views are cool, the food is damn nice. My favourite CRABS from Sri Lanka, Lobsters, Turkey, Sambal Salmon, Omelette, SUPER BIG TIGER PRAWNS and my favourite STRAWBERRY SORBET ice-cream. =D Nice meal, although the crabs, lobsters and prawns are steamed. Kind of bland, but it's high class food! Haha. Tried some cocktails. Not bad except for one. Nice price too.
Thanks for the treat! Haha.

Anyway, my new econs professor asked us a very interesting question today.
A king has a flute to be given away. 3 boys came to ask for the flute. Their reasons for asking are as follows:

Went to see Iming off yesterday!

Woke up damn early at 730. Took the train to Yio Chu Kang cause daniel offered to fetch me there. Better compared to taking all the way to changi airport and still have to take skytrain to T3 if i'm not wrong.
Reached T3 at 10am. We were one of the first few to reach there. Waited until Iming came at 1030 i think. She checked her baggages in first. Woah. Exceeded by 5kg. Had to remove some clothes from the luggage until it reaches about 33kg. It was a funny sight seeing her having to squeeze all her clothes in another bag.
Went to meet her other friends at B2. Chatted and took pictures with her. Gave her our gift from Tanbo - harddrive. Hope she will be happy seeing all the stuff we put inside for her! Then she had to leave already. Gave her a hug. =) It was a sad moment seeing her leave and all of us waving good-byes to her through that glass. But, she's leaving to further her studies! It's a good thing! We will have another qualified lawyer soon! YAY! =) We should all encourage her and not be too sad. Now, she has already reached London safely. Feel happy for her as she is able to fulfill her dreams. =D All the best!

Went to play mahjong at daniel's place. First time there! Took a Large cab there. LOL. It was damn freaking expensive. 3.20 starting fare, plus 21 bucks surcharge from airport and metered fare. Total bill came up to about 40 bucks. I'm never ever gonna take that again.
Won a few bucks in the first round but they decided not to count. =( Then lost 60cents in the second. -.- Had fun playing though. But i should stop this. No more no more.
Then went for supper! ZI CHAR! BLACK PEPPER CRAB. HOTPLATE TOUFU. SAMBAL KANGKONG. FROG-LEG FRIED WITH GINGER AND SPRING ONION. WOW. And the person was saying, you guys order the small crab first. If that's not enough, you can order 1 more small one. Then it came. YOU CALL THAT SMALL? The pincers were damn big! I LOVE IT. =) WOO! Nice. The price of the crab is relatively okay. $41.80. Haha. Maybe we can try other flavours next time? =x Thanks for the treat anyway, daniel!

CONGRATS TO MY SISTER FOR PASSING HER DRIVING TEST!! =)

Anyway, the past week has been quite hectic and stressful.
Today, i went for econs lecture in the morning as usual. Met up with CBC people to vote for CALEB who is running for Secretary position. ALL THE BEST!! =) Then went to watch them play basketball in NIE. Ate lunch there and i went home after that. Went to sleep for 2hours in the afternoon. Damn sleepy. Due to yesterday's PARTY WORLD KTV. Sang for 4hours straight. My second time singing only. Quite fun. Haha. But kinda expensive. 22 bucks. The voucher is useless by the way. -.- Ended at around 1130 and got home at 12 midnight. Only had 6hours of sleep. SLEEPY. Almost slept in econs lecture. =x

Went with kaiyuan to queensway on sunday to settle the tees stuff. Managed to change and will be collecting on monday i think. Argh. Another trip there. But i pity kaiyuan for going there the 4th time already. OUCH. Anyway, hope that it will all be settled after monday.

Went to study on monday in the library. Didnt manage to do much. Only some proofs. AHH. Stressed.

Read up on limits just now. SIAN. Can't understand the squeezing theorem. =( I seriously need a tutor for that..........

WOo!

Went ZOUK yesterday! Long time didnt go clubs already, or rather this is my second time there only. Long after my post-prom. Kinda looking forward to it. But it was quite a disappointment. Danced and danced. Anyway, MengHui is handsome! With his GEEK suit! SHUAI! =) Don't be too upset over your loss, we all know that you are the GEEK in our hearts! HAHA. And sakura as well.. =P
One thing i don't like about ZOUK is the music. All the electrico music and its minus 1. Bad. So we got sick of it and went off at 12plus. Went to eat PRATA! But then again, he said no more PLAIN and tissue prata, and there are cheese, egg, mushroom prata. WHAT THE. Is there such a thing like this? =x And the prata's so freaking hard. Bad one.

Then, we took the shuttle bus back to school. Played some random games to stay awake. Went to play mahjong too. As usual, lost money. I guess i can't gamble. The psychological effect. Went for breakfast with kaiyuan at YAKUN KAYA TOAST. My favourite SILKY BARLEY. =) Reached home at 8plus. Went to sleep until 3plus4pm.

Got no mood to do any tutorials at the moment. Need to relax and get the mood back.

Today's a very very bad day for me. =((

Was damn unlucky.

Firstly, i was walking halfway towards je for school this morning. Then i realised i forgot to bring my handphone. What a dumb thing to do. So i went back home to take it and headed for school. This caused me to be late for the lab session. However, i can still understand the lab. Need more time to get used to the C++ program.

Then, i was late for the calculus lecture too because the lab prof released us late. Could still understand him. I hope he will be my tutor.

Lunch was next. The queues were so damn long. I only had dessert then went to buy books. Reserved my calculus book and bought macroecons book. Argh. Wasted money on that. Mostly JC work. =( Whatever. Don't cry over spilled milk. Easy to say but hard to do..............

Went back home with my sis's books too. Damn heavy. AND THEN I DROPPED MY PHONE ON THE FLOOR!! WOAH SIAN. At first, i thought it only touched water, but the LCD screen cracked!!! =(((((((( My heart broke at that moment. OMG. OUCH. SAD. Had practically no mood to do anything. Haiz. Called up the hotline and asked the cost for the repair. Around 100 bucks. Shit. Broke. So sad............................... Don't cry over spilled milk. Easy to say but hard to accomplish. Serious.

Went to do my MAS111 tutorial. WTH. SO DAMN TOUGH. Spent the whole afternoon doing and only did 4 questions. ARGH. I guess i have to wake up. THIS IS UNIVERSITY. NO MORE JC. NO MORE SPOON-FEEDING. NO MORE DEPENDENCE.

Been playing with it ever since i got it yesterday. Woohoo!

Just came back from photoshoot. My brother just graduated so we went to take a convocation portrait. Quite a good experience with it. The make-up artist helped my sis and i with some simple touch-up while she did full make-up and hair-do for my mum. This costs 30 bucks. Quite reasonable.
The photographer is quite funny, but professional. Asked us to do many weird poses. Need to 'qiao' my ass many times. Had to turn and slant my head according to the photographer. And of course, smile until my mouth muscles hurt. HAHA. Kinda enjoyed this photoshoot. Missed those times where...................... Yup. =)

Went for supper next. Wanted to have my favourite STINGRAY but sadly, the zhi char place doesn't have that. Not even sotongs. SIAN. So we ordered curry fish head, frog legs(I LIKE!), hotplate tofu and this sambal potato leaf thing (this turned out to be sambal kang kong.... -.- he took our order wrongly. DRUNKARD! We changed that back to potato leaf.) Not only that, the drunkard also took our order wrongly for the frog legs. We said we wanted with ginger, but he gave us one with dried chilli. We didnt change this, but we told ourselves never to go back there again. NEVER. Never say never, but this is out.

Just reached home and im using my lappy now! =)

Had Calculus 1 lecture. Not bad. Understood most of the stuff. At least i can understand what the lecturer is talking about. But the lecturers for other math courses are from CHINA. OH MAN. Wonder if i can understand the accent or not. And, should i buy the textbook? Hmmm.. it costs 47.90!! But i heard will be using for 2 years. Im afraid i won't use the textbook very often..... Im afraid history will repeat itself. (I bought this University Physics Textbook for jc and it's collecting dust....) Shall consider carefully first.

12/8:
Went for BS801, Gene R Us lecture. What a long 3 hours lecture. Very cheem. Don't really understand what she's talking about. No notes. Sian. But its an MCQ paper. Should be okay i hope.

13/8:
Had HE102 Macroecons lecture. Not bad. Mostly JC stuff. Can understand most of it. The stuff is coming back to me! Woo!

Anyway, my timetable is not bad. Though i still need to take 1 more elective. Very little AUs. SIAN. WHAT ELECTIVES SHOULD I TAKE?? Some clash with my timetable and exams.... So hard to find a good one. AHH.

Monday,3/8:
Went for my second medical checkup. Nothing's wrong with me! =) felt very relieved. I guess i will have to drink lots and lots of water. I shall make it my favourite drink..... and have my silky barley replaced... AHH.
Then i went home to sleep i think. Have been very tired ever since im back from camp. Sian. And my sunburns on my face.... =(

Went to study with bernard. Sorry i couldn't help much cause i myself forgot most of the stuff. I guess it's time to get back to study. JIAYOU! =)

Went shopping with my sis i think. Bought a bottle cause mine cracked during camp. Thanks to the security guard. ARGH.

Met up with NARUTO peeps for Freshmen Welcome Ceremony in the morning. Haha got to wear the blue coat that signifies the start of university life. Cool. And 4 years later when we graduate, we will wear the full set! Looking forward to that day.. but i shall concentrate on starting off first. The first step is always the hardest. So true..

Went SAKURA for buffet dinner!! YAY! Ate as much as i can. Its 26 bucks okay! The forfeits were nice... oops! =x Luckily i only ate the satay with some sauce that they mixed. At least its better than Meng Po Soup. HAHA! Went home close to 9pm.

5 days just passed like that. So fast.

Tuesday, 28/7:
Met at Sembawang at 11 for lunch. Proceeded to Sembawang camp site. Played ice-breaker games. Initiation. SP interaction. Very fun! But i hate being blind-folded because i don't like the feeling of suspense, although it gives me that secretive feeling. Had flour, mud, water, vinegar, mayo on my clothes. Yucks. But somehow, i got immune to them. Its like, whatever. Just spray and throw whatever you want to. Come on. These don't work after sometime. Just like army. I think guys should know my meaning. The SP interaction is quite weird. Blindfolded and being brought to somewhere to chat with my SP, or rather 2 SPs. Then we had to choose which one we felt is better. And i heard from my SA that my SP is not bad. Haha. Wasn't really enthusiastic about that actually. Yup. Showered and slept at around 3 plus 4am.

Wednesday, 29/7:
Had dirty games that lasted from morning to late afternoon. The degree of dirtiness was worse than the previous day, as the name suggests. Played Longest and shortest line, encyclopedia, Tug-of-war, some food game and some green bean game. Had to pair up with a guy for most of the games. Very fun and exciting too! =) Stretched like crazy for the longest line. Pain pain pain!
Went back to NTU for fright night. =(( Scary. I cried. =x So dark! AHH. Especially the corridor where we had to find the rooms with a green lightstick. Luckily MengHui is there for me. Thanks! =) I think his arms were red after that 5-10mins. Screamed a few times, like a head suddenly popped out when MengHui pulled up a lid, when there was a corpse on the floor and we had to search for a key to unlock a lock on the corpse, people with white faces walking everywhere in the rooms and corridor. Come to think of it, the fright night wasn't that scary after all. Maybe we were one of the last pairs to go so i guess the 'ghosts' were tired. And we got the clues quite easily. LOL. But took sometime to cool myself down after the fright. ARGH.
Went back campsite and slept around the same time as the previous day.

Thursday, 30/7:
AMAZING RACE! My first time playing actually. Went AMK hub, Serangoon, Tampines, Bedok, Iluma, Ford Canning Park, SCAPE, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Clementi, Chinese Garden, and then back to NTU. Really around Singapore. North, South, East, West covered. Not really smooth. Had to find out how to go to certain places. Had to find clues. Played games like matching photos of shops to the names in Tampines(took the longest--more than an hour), counting the number of clocks in a shop(that's the game i participated with my sis--don't think its lame and stupid. Not easy okay! Had to count everything that can tell time. Tricky.), running round a field to get letters to form words, running up the chinese garden 7-storey pagoda to take a picture and find answers to the questions about the stuff in chinese garden(SHAG), running around ford canning park to find the places in the photos given, eating some chilli chocolate ice-cream in Clementi, sang songs in NTU and many more. Very shag. Ran around 7km i think. SHAG SHAG SHAG. Went back campsite at 10plus. I thought we can sleep earlier than the previous 2 days. Didn't keep their promise!!! =( But we had fun cross-dressing MengHui! HAHA. Damn funny. And i was sabo-ed to be the MC to introduce him--our SAKURA. And he won Miss Sexuality. WOOHOO! =D Nicely done! Slept also around the same time after bathing.

Friday, 31/7:
Packed our stuff and went to SENTOSA! Beach Games! Frishbee, Captain's ball, etc.. And we won everything la! NARUTO ROCKS! =) Cheering competition. Got second. Could have gotten first but we all did our best! GOOD JOB, nARUTO! My sis got her nose injured. Sian. =( But well, all of us don't want accidents to happen and can't prevent them too. Just hope it will heal asap.
Went to shower and prepare for SP NIGHT. Wasn't really looking forward to it but kinda feel that its fun. Secretive. The guys had to fetch us from our chalet room. Kinda new stuff. Woo. Our GLs and SAs sabo-ed them. The guys had to do something before they can get us. LOL. My SP was the first. Woah. Cool man. SHuai. Very. He did 10 push-ups with 1 hand because his other wrist was injured. Cool. Also told a racist joke. Funny. Woo. =) Was feeling weird throughout the journey to harbourfront station. Went to get a drink at Starbucks. He actually wanted to sit down and have a drink there, BUT!! Nicholas called to chase us. Argh. We were the first to leave the room la. Should be one of the earliest. Spoiler!!! =x Had to gulp down my dark mocha quickly. Can't even enjoy. Then went to meet them at harbourfront control station. Saw my OG's other SPs. I think mine's the best. =D Haha. Proceeded to The Gallery in Ford Canning Park(again). Had buffet style dinner there. BUT it's from JESSIE CATERING again!! SUCKS big time. Had bad food for the past few days already. Rice, 1 veg and 1 meat for lunch and dinner. Bread or mee fen for breakfast. =( YUCKS. Had some SP night games where couples had to complete the game within the shortest time. Luckily we weren't called. =x The 2 hours passed very quickly. SP night ended. Exchanged gifts. Got a notebook from him. But he didn't ask for my number. =( Hard to meet him. Different courses. Okay stop this.

Went back to COASTA SANDS chalet. Celebrated WeiJie's 21st birthday! Happy birthday! =) What a bad time to celebrate 21st in camp... but hope you had a great day! Haha. Had heart to heart talk with the og. Chatted about our SPs and random stuff. Slept at around 4am. Wanted to tong for the whole night but was really too tired. Woke up at 8am to pack our stuff and went to gather for Prize Presentation. NARUTO got MOST SPONTANEOUS group!! YAY! Well, they planned it in such a way that all groups got 1 prize. But i think NARUTO should get most of the prizes. We won beach games and was ranked either 1st, 2nd or 3rd everyday. Well......... NVM. In my heart, NARUTO rocks! =D

Then, took a SPMS and OG group photo. Went Mac for Brunch. And headed home straight.

HI!!

Long time didn't blog. Was busy for the past week.

Went for this Singtel job on Monday and Wednesday. Wanna earn extra money. But i don't think i will ever go for such if i have a choice. Smokers everywhere. Ah bengs everywhere. Sucky. Well, the job is very slack. All i have to do is to promote Singtel Hi! and SIM cards to the customers and record the number of cards sold. So its quite easy money earned.
Got my CRUMPLER on wednesday! WOO!! Thanks for the gift, though its quite belated...

Tuesday. Accompanied my friend for TP test. Congrats for passing! =) and thanks for the prata treat! haha!

Thursday. Went to cut my hair. SIAN. Shouldn't have cut. Now it's back to square one. =((((((
Went to play mahjong with I-ming, Daniel, Gabriel and Meiyi. Long time didn't see them! And also, long time didn't play. Missed playing it. But, i lost as usual. AHH. Can't figure out why i will always lose when playing money. So sad. $10.80 gone in 2 rounds. That day wasn't a good day for me.

Friday. Went shopping with my sis for camp stuff. Bought most of the stuff needed. Then caught the movie - Public Enemies. It was quite boring. Not very humourous. Not much action.

Saturday. Went to watch NDP preview with pearl. WOAH!! IT WAS NICE and so colourful! The fireworks, the whole story with 10 chapters etc... (except the costumes of the motivators =x ) Enjoyed myself a lot! =) Took many many photos too! PEARL, your job to post on facebook okay!! HAHA. Thanks to CLARICE for the tickets! =D
Really fabulous! Maybe i haven't been to any since primary 5, this explains why i felt the atmosphere. WOO!
Those who haven't been to any previews or the real thing yet, better grab your opportunities fast! Or last resort, catch it on tv. But you're gonna be damn jealous. LOL.

Tuesday, 14/7. Went for my medical check-up. Sad. Something's wrong with me. I have to go back for another check-up next month. =( Hope it's just a false alarm. Praying and praying hard....
Brother brought my sis and i around the campus for further exploration. Completed and handed in all of my admin stuff.
Went for dinner. Thanks for the medicine. I appreciate it. I hope that really works. =)

Friday, 17/7. Went back to my ex-company for birthday celebration! Thanks for inviting me back! =) Hehe. Felt kind of weird back there. But well, thanks for the Swensens treat too! Haha. Miss you guys lots!

2nd birthday celebration!

Met up with jian wei, yi ping, swai ming and hou cheng at je mrt yesterday. Went town to meet pearl and clarice. Went Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao to eat. Ordered some Dim Sum and La Mian. And thanks once again for the watch! =) LOVE IT! Went to walk around town. Drank my favourite SILKY BARLEY. =D Then they went home early cause they have to book in. Sad.

Had dinner at Outback Steakhouse. WOW! The food is quite ex. There is the ambience. Made me so uneasy cause it was kind of formal. Had the Outback Steak. Medium rare. Should have ordered medium instead. My hands were aching from all the cutting. (and now, my mouth is aching from all the chewing.. =x) Thanks for the 2 surprises! =)) I was really shocked! LOVE THEM! I thought i can only see them on TV. HAHA =D All was perfect but for my present. Still have to wait. =( hopefully will be here ASAP!

I had a different birthday celebration this year. Lesser surprises. Lesser people. Chose my own birthday present. =X Felt weird overall. Won't forget my 18th birthday. I hope the same goes for my 21st.

Got my first birthday present on 1st JULY! LOL. That's really early. I LIKE IT. BECAUSE I CHOSE IT. =) Thanks to CLARICE, PEARL, DELVIN, YIPING, JIANWEI, SWAIMING and HOUCHENG! That's a pretty expensive one. WOO! I LIKE.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO CLARICE! I'm sure you like your present, cause you chose it too! =) HAHA. Nice outing on wednesday.

Caught Transformers 2 and Ice Age 3. Transformers 2 is full of action! REALLY COOL! WOOHOO! And the soundtracks are nice! =)
But ice age 3 doesn't really appeal to me, though some parts are funny. Easy to understand, but the storyline isn't very solid. Think i should watch parts 1 and 2 first before watching 3, to have a better understanding of their past relationships.

Anyway, I have been slacking for the past few days. Have to get moving to read some books or do something to enrich myself. Will be signing up for my faculty camp soon. Wow. About a month to school reopen. Don't really like it.

Last day of work yesterday..

Had lots of work to do actually.. (Really ironic) Have to hand over all my stuffs to the new girl properly. Had some last chats with the big big boss and my department. Felt very reluctant to talk to the boss initially but i guessed its just a farewell talk. Hugged my colleagues too. Almost cried again. Mixed feelings. I should be happy that i don't have to work anymore. But i will definitely miss them.. The times we spent together--Macau&HK trip, the many lunches and company dinners, the long hours in the office for more than 3 months--i will never forget. Hope they like what i got for them! =)

HAHA.. Had KUSHIN BO with my colleagues for dinner yesterday. DAMN SHUANG. BUFFET. Snow crab, sashimi, chawanmushi, soft shell crab, unagi, teriyaki chicken, lobster, ice-cream(this is damn nice and smooth!), strawberry dessert, chocolate fondue and many many more! SHIOK! Very worth the money! Don't mind to go there again! =D

Will definitely miss you colleagues! Mus miss me too okay! =)

Here's how it went:

Took a cab down to BBDC as i was running late. Warm-up time was 1325 but i was not even on the bus at 1300. Waited for the bus for 20 mins. Reached there at 1310 and the driver cheated me of 20cents. Whatever. Went to print my slip and waited in the waiting room. Was SO DAMN nervous. Tried to calm myself down. Then 1325 came. Went to look for my car 57.

During the warm-up, i made mistakes i shouldn't have made. My car was not straight after doing vertical parking and directional change. Didn't signal and check blind spot when going out of parallel parking lot. Did the circuit at a fast speed. I guess i wasn't used to the car yet. Couldn't get the biting point. Speed was way too fast. The instructor had to tell me many times to slow down.

Half an hour had passed so fast. I was still not used to the car yet and was feeling quite nervous, though not as before. OMG.

And then, i had about 45 mins to relax and wait for my turn. Kept reassuring myself i can do it and don't be nervous. Then, cynthia came. Was shocked. But anyway, thanks for accompanying! =) although it sort of increased my stress level.. (she got 6 points only by the way!!!)

Waited and waited. It was 1455. My test was delayed by 10 mins already. Then, Ng Li Yin Vivian! OMG. Nervous nervous! Went down with my tester. Got Test route 2. Phew. The tester was FIERCE and strict la! Showed me such a stern look even before i started the car. Added stress. After the circuit, i thought i did okay for the circuit. Cause he didnt write or type anything, though he said that i must look behind when reversing for directional change. Next came the road driving. Wah sian. My lane change is not very good, though there weren't many cars. My car sort of veered off course. OUCH. Whatever. Just remain calm and don't talk back. And the worse part came(at least i thought it was quite bad). I almost completed my test route and was going back to the centre. At this traffic light junction, i slowed down (cause when approaching any junction, you are expected to slow down in case the lights turn amber). Junctions usually have 3 arrows leading up. Then at the second arrow, the lights turned amber. My speed was about 40km/h, gear 3. So i E braked. And then, i heard the screeching of tyres of the car behind. He had to E brake too. WOAH! At that particular moment, i thought it was my fault. I shouldn't have E braked. The tester also laughed and asked me, "HAHA! You know where the sound came from?" So i replied, "From behind." WTH. That made me so damn scared. And the worse thing was the car behind was from BBDC too and i saw the instructor showing habd signals to me. WTH. Nice way to treat fellow trainees. Anyway, I thought i failed. Seriously. So after parking the car, i went up with him for the result. He told me, "Your driving overall is okay. BUT, do you know your lane change is quite weak? There's a car on your right just now when you are doing lane change, but you almost went into his lane. Do you know that? It was very dangerous. Did you check your blind spot properly?" SIAN. I thought confirm fail. And i thought my fatal mistake was that E braking, yet he didnt mention anything about that. Then, he continued, "You passed." =.=

But i was still shocked over that E braking and didnt believe i passed. Didnt feel that much happiness i thought i would. SO i asked my colleagues whether my E braking was right. Firstly, from what i have learnt, only when your speed is too fast to E brake and when you are at the first arrow, then you can pass the amber light. Secondly, the car behind was obviously tailgating. (but it was my fault too. I should have used intermittent braking to warn him) Phew. Luckily it wasn't totally my fault. If i were to fail because of that, I'm SO GONNA.........!!!! ARGH! REASON BEING, i was already finishing my test and such a thing happened.

Anyway, i passed! Certainly need more practice, but just wanna get the licence first. HAHA! Practice makes perfect. Wait til i get my own car. =) SHIOK!!!

NTU math and econs OR NUS accountancy?

Well, people told me accountancy has better job prospects compared to math and econs. At least you will certainly get a job, a stable one too. NUS accountancy is not a full accounting degree. As for math and econs, it's only in the 4th year this year. It's very new. But, i saw the prospects for it too. It's quite good. Can work in the finance, banking, accounting, business sectors.
Considering the distance, NUS is nearer. I have 2 direct buses there.
As for my interest, i don't think i can study accounting for 3 years. It needs logical thinking and understanding and to me, it's also quite boring. But, i don't really like econs too. Heard it's quite tough in the U. Hmmm.

Another thing about NUS is i only received the letter yeaterday, which is the 29th of may. And i have to make a decision by the 1st of june. How efficient they are.

Today is the 16th already. By the 20th, if i still have not received yet, i'm so gonna call the office of admissions. I guess i wore a hat which is too big for my head, that's why i have not got any offer yet. SIAN. So sad....

On a happier note, driving today was okay. The instructor is good! Hope can get him again. Taught me lots of useful things and encouraged me. Told me there's a girl who just passed the test with just 6 points!!! OMG. Got 6 points on the road and 0 in the circuit. PRO. WOO! I hope this will be the case on the 15th of june. =D

Well, i am wondering if i got into accountancy in nus, will i want to accept? Still unsure actually. The double degree program seems interesting but i wonder if i can handle it. AHH. On second thought, it's A LOT of econs. Sian. I don't like. I must make a decision asap after i received offer from nus.

Finally, after a LONG LONG wait, i got the letter from NTU.
It came with a shock. Woah. Not sure if i can cope with it. I wonder if i can drop after the first year if i can't cope. And this is my second choice. Wah. They didn't accept me for Chem Engineering. Strong competition. Wonder if that's a blessing in disguise. For now, i will just have to wait patiently for a reply from NUS. It's taking so long. Making me anxious.

Also, i have to improve on my driving skills. So sad. Not sensitive and perceptive to traffic conditions. This is very bad. Will have accidents anytime. I guess i'm too impatient and reckless, making him feel unsafe. The instructor said i must be able to drive without any help from anyone. Only with that will i be able to pass the test. Come on. I CAN DO IT!

Yesterday's driving was my worst, i would say.
Failed the circuit. Mount kerb, hit pole, didnt check blind spots, didnt signal, do everything quickly and recklessly. Disappointed. Utterly disappointed with myself. Shit. I need more practice. And money too. And some luck.

Get your facts right. Go update yourself on current affairs. It's not so simple as you think. You will need PASSION, if not you won't last for 4 years. What you said is just a small part of what accountancy really is. Please make sure you really are interested in accountancy. IF you really get the offer, IF, please consider carefully.

Sian. I guess i'm just not prepared for all these. Heard from my friends theirs were okay. No current affairs question, no suan-ing, just questions on cca and about themselves. And theirs were 10mins only, but mine was 20 mins i think. Whatever shit. I still have other choices, hopefully.

Sucks. And please stop disturbing me. I'm almost at my limit.

Nice holidays i had! =)

Thursday evening: Company Dinner at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Mellben Seafood
Haha! Nice dinner!! SUPER DUPER LARGE CRABS! OMG. The pincer is as big as a person's hand!!!!!! I ate 2 of them and 1 leg, so thats almost 1 whole crab. WOOHOO! =D There were others like prawns, seafood toufu, spinach, sea cucumber soup, etc etc... And guess the total for 3 such tables. 1.2k!! OUCH. Can go eat at some other places with nice ambience and whatsoever right. BUT WHATEVER. I LIKE THE CRABS.
And my colleagues are funny and lame. Nice hanging out with them.

GOOD friday:
Met up with sb5. The few of us as usual. Ate at this Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. The french toast and milk tea is nice man! BIG french toast! =D YUMMY! Too bad tuck hing can't join us. Anyway, he enlisted yesterday! Hopefully everything went well for the first day... Haha.

Saturday:
Went to school to collect a photocopy of the SGC and to meet up with CO juniors for lunch. Haha. And so the PW results were out. And that reminded me of last year too. Forget it. Anyway, ALL THE BEST FOR SYF ON THE 6TH OF MAY! =D I hope to be there!

Driving was next. Perverted instructor. He likes to act pro and complete all the circuit stages at fast speed. But his teaching is quite good. I got quite stressed with him. His instructions are given promptly and expects me to follow straightaway. Like IMMEDIATELY. So i was quite kan chiong. LOL.
Overall, i think my low speed control needs some more practice. And i mount the kerb and knocked down poles like 2 times. But i think he taught me quite a lot of things as to how to improve. For emergency brake, how to not stall the engine, how to know if the car is in the centre of the lot, must check blind spots, and do everything quickly but at very low speed. NOT BAD.

Went to watch movie. TAKEN!!! DAMN NICE! SERIOUS. The script is nicely written. WOO! I don't mind watching again. EXCITING detective movie. GO WATCH, FRIENDS!!! Won't regret it!

And, the interview is on tuesday. Hope everything will go well. Sian. I should have taken leave tmr too. No mood to go to work. I hope its only friday today... Wanna have more fun. LOL.

Had 2 driving lessons today. Or rather, 3, if you count the driving stimulator.

The driving stimulator is quite lame. But i learnt quite a bit from it. Must always keep in mind the 2 sec rule. Learnt how to do Emergency brake. Must react very fast. Drive slowly at bends and whatsoever to avoid unexpected hazards and what not. A lot of theory. Haha. The instructor is quite funny. Not bad not bad. Met a new friend there too. He, like me, likes math and figures and he used to stay at Toh Guan too! So coincidental! Taking accountancy too, which is one of my choices. Haha.

Then came the 2 lessons. Got the same instructor for both. Dont know if i count myself lucky or unlucky. But im not really happy about it. His teaching is not very good. Didn't get much satisfaction. Guess probably he's too lenient. Still not very good at the 2 parkings. Cuz he kept giving me instructions thats why i can do it most of the times. Had to do MANY MANY corrections. Had to remember MANY MANY MANY steps. AND, OMG! I stalled many times during the 2nd lesson. =( The instructor said i can get into the Guinness World Record for stalling the engine. Something was wrong with me. Its been quite long since i stalled many times. So sad! Should be keeping the number of times i stall to the minimum. Awwww.. =((((( When it comes to the summary of stage 3, i must do it perfect! There is only 1 chance. Take it or leave it.

Anyway, he's really funny. Keep saying that driving is a CHICKEN IN A BISCUIT. WHAT THE HELL. Asked me go get motorbike license too. Lame shit. He's got the shit out of me when he suddenly slammed the bonnet (to do E brake). And this is where the driving stimulator helps. Haha. Didn't react fast for a few times cause i was shocked. And forgot to press the clutch down. So the engine stalled once again. =(

Overall, i'm not really happy with my performance today. Sian.

1. Stalled the engine for more than 10 times i guess. =((((((((((((( AHHHHHHH!! Must accelerate and have good biting point.
2. Didn't get the steps really right for the 2 parkings. I kind of mixed up the 2 and so mixed up the steps.
3. My speed was too fast for circuit. Low speed control quite bad.

Yesterday's one was alright, just that i got another instructor not from my group again. This was the second time ever since the change in shifts. ARGH! I booked it 1 week earlier, still didnt get the instructors from my group. FIXED GROUP? BULLSHIT. But the instructor is okay i guess.

Today i had 2 lessons. The first lesson i got the strict instructor from my group. WOAH he's really strict. When he was telling me all my mistakes, i felt down... Really sad. Maybe i shouldn't drink the day before!!!! =(( THANKS TO SOMEBODY! =x The tequila is quite bad for me. Burns my throat man.. I should avoid. Makes me quite giddy and can't really walk straight after 3 shots. And maybe this is the reason why i made exceptionally more mistakes that lesson. Stalling the engine, accidentally activating the wiper, abrupt lane change(i still don't get what he says about lane change =x), doing wide left turns especially (turning the steering wheel too late, and also too early sometimes). And my right turns seem better than my left turns during that lesson! Which is usually the opposite. OMG. Alcohol is bad. Bad. Its making everything upside down. =( REGRETTED.

And the second lesson i woke up. I got an instructor from another group again which makes me quite pissed. And he is freaking quiet. He speaks monotonously. So boring. Argh. Don't have eye contact. But his teaching is okay la i would say. He demonstrated the steps first then i followed. Not bad. I think i need to see how he does it first before i can do it. And this should be the same for studies and everything else i guess. I need demonstrations first. HAHA.

Anyway, i want back the instructors from my group! That's at least better than risking getting lousier instructors from other groups.

woohoo!

Another week at my new company! =)
Nice! My boss treated us to some other reataurant at jp! YAY! He still said i forced him to treat. lol. For work, it has been quite okay. Still cheem for some of the terms. And i think i made quite a number of mistakes the past week. =( AHHH! I think i still dont have that interest for accountancy. Well, its only 2 weeks. Can't expect too much. Come on come on.

Just had driving this morning. New car. New instructor. He told me thats one of the cars used for practical test. WOO! Means i was lucky to get that car! Since it was new(barely 2 years), the 3 pedals, steering wheel and gear lever are hard to control. The clutch pedal requires more force to depress fully. The steering wheel and the gear lever too. For the brake pedal, it is more sensitive. But i got used to them after a while. Maybe its because of the new car, its very hard to stall. And so, the slope was alright for me. OH OH OH! We went all the way to woodlands road (near the zoo)! Damn far la! Got a lot of hazards like cyclists and stationary vehicles. Did a few U-turns too. Haha. Quite fun. I LIKE THE NEW CAR! =D

Reported to my new job on tuesday! Nice! Got a treat from my mentor that day at some hk restaurant. She is nice! THANKS! =) The colleagues are nice! They treat me well! Tried to teach me and explain to me some cheem accounting terms in many ways, cause i still don't understand them. =x Really very cheem!!! I had to wikipedia some terms to find out the meanings!
The next good thing is i have my own laptop! Can go msn and surf the net everyday! =D
Here comes the best thing: Free transport to-and-fro JE and my company! No transport costs!
But the only not so good thing is the food at the building is not very nice. No choice to eat there cause my colleagues are busy. It's near, you see. Ah. Whatever. Nice people. Nice welfare. Nice pay. I'm satisfied. =D

YAY! Most probably gonna stay for a few months there. HAHA!

Time flies. Really.

The A's were over. Then came the results. And now, have to make a choice as to what course to take and where to go. Need to do a lot of admin stuff to apply for scholarships and universities. Need to prepare documents. Oh MAN. Wow. It's march already. Sucks.

Just went to SMU's open house. Not bad, i would say. Different teaching methods, and this reminded me of secondary school life. Class of 40-45 students in a seminar with 1 professor. Allows for more interaction among the students themselves and the teacher. Encourages more speaking up in class. Will become excellent presenters next time. Okay i think. Attracted to Accountancy and Business (Quantitative Finance), but kind of afraid of the Economics area. Well, still considering Maths degree. Whatever. There's still next week. NTU and NUS.

Okay. Almost forgot i have tuition tmr morning. Shit. Have to study for FTT.

Happy for some subjects. Surprised, i should say. Especially for Econs. GP too, i guess. From a U(for prelims) to reasonable grade. Physics too. Was expecting a lower grade actually.
For the rest, kind of expected it.
Overall, i think its still okay.

Also, CONRATS TO MY FRIENDS WHO GOT THEIR DESIRED RESULTS!! Especially andy! Straight As!! =)

And for those who didn't, don't think too much about it. There are still many other options out there. Sometimes, life is like that. You can't get what you want. Maybe you are just unlucky this time round. Don't worry too much. Go for the open houses and learn more about the different courses. I believe there will always be a course suitable for you. Another sad post here!! =(

I realised i suck at driving. Really. I'm not serious at all and keep playing. I didn't concentrate most of the times. OH SHIT MAN. Gotta change this. This is throwing my money into the drain. Musn't do stupid things like ________ already. That is really stupid man! Laughed my ass off. Just hope MR YIP doesn't say it out. =x I will do my best for the subsequent lessons!

And, there is still the course to think about.
I failed in teaching. One of the parents doesn't want me. Almost wanted to ask the reason, but hesitated. Maybe because i joked too much with the kid. But when a kid couldn't concentrate and kept fidgetting, what else can i do to tell some jokes or talk about games? And then get back to serious work? AHH. I need tips man.
I don't like boring office-bound work. I don't want to be stuck in the office all day long seeing documents and files. I want some exciting stuff. If i want to do business or accountancy, my brother says SMU is better. More people got jobs even before they got the degree in SMU than in NTU. Okay. The open houses will make my decisions clearer i hope.

OH YEAH.
FTT is in a week's time. Haven got the time to study yet. Should get to the book soon.

Just had a chat with my brother about the different courses to take. He said NTU is not really good. The people there are either very slack or very toot. =x Not really suitable. And i told him i want to take Maths in the university. He straightaway said 'CRAZY AH! Take maths alone wont give you any prospects! Don't be stupid! I took some elective courses in that School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences but it's damn boring and keep doing stupid stuff. You want to be a statistician? Not many companies will need such people. Do business or accountancy is better! When you got a degree already, the economy will be better on track and will be able to have higher pay and all that. Or go NIE. Do business or accountancy and then spend another year in NIE, so total 4 years. Also, SMU's business courses are better than those in NTU. Business is very easy to pass too.'

Well, he's from there so he knows roughly everything. I'm confused and kind of influenced by him. HOW HOW HOW? Results are coming out and i have to make a decision soon! OMG! To choose between interest or better pay and prospects in the future?? I don't want to spend 3 or 4 years doing something i don't like. I don't really like economics and stuff. Okay, maybe because i'm bad at it. AHHH! I need to go to my new company soon and learn about the accounts and stuff!

Okay. It's all down to my results. Scared.

VIVIAN IS NOW ON THE ROAD! YAY!! =)

Felt really happy when i can get out of the circuit. Really. But nervous too. Got used to it after some time. HAHA! Got the handsome instructor again. LOL! Quite happy. Not really because he is handsome la, but his teaching is not bad. Very patient. Even when i keep making mistakes like stalling the engine when going off and forgetting to release clutch pedal after changing gears, he keeps reminding me. I hope to get him for my subsequent lessons!!! PRAY HARD MAN! =) I don't want the guy who SIGH VERY LOUDLY during my first lesson. Please man.

Well, the second instructor seems quite stern and strict. Quite scared of him at first and throughout the lesson. His voice is very firm. Quite scary. But he is quite patient too. And, THANKS for fetching me home! LOL. Its raining, thats why.

Okay, now its the sad part.

The weekend's over so quickly. YUCKS! And its back to work again. SHITTY. I don't like my job. Seriously. Some of my colleagues may be quite nice, so let's leave that out. The work i'm doing is just so boring. I guess i'm not for admin jobs. There's just 1 word to describe it. BORING. Hopefully my new job will be more fun. Really. If not, i will have to change jobs again. I want to talk and interact with more people. I want to be at the frontdesk. I don't want to get cooped up in the office the whole day. YUCKS.

ARGH!

I am quite disappointed with my tutees. OMG. Primary 4. Secondary 2. Secondary 3. My first impression of them is I thought the primary 4 kid will be the hardest to handle cause he kept fidgeting around and just not concentrating, and the Secondary 3 kid will be the easiest to teach cause he seems very enthusiastic about homework (he asks me to give him homework when i don't even intend to). And, yeah, i kind of expected what will it be like teaching the Sec 2 kid. -.-Well, so i thought he will complete his work by the next lesson. I WAS WRONG! TOTALLY WRONG!

The sec 3 kid didn't take the homework seriously and he said he had no time for it. -.- Only 'FU YAN' me. So i had to give him more time to complete and let him finish some during tuition. Kind of waste time. And his common tests are next week la! Stress! But he's not serious about it. AHH!

The pri 4 kid is quite cute. HAHA! Quite funny too. =D At least he does my homework although he didn't really listen to me when i'm teaching. But well, there's improvement. YAY!

The sec 2 kid is very naughty. The one who fidgets around the most and looks at other things except the work im going through. He said 'don't know' for everything la! WHATEVER!

Well, another 6 more lessons to go and i can decide whether i want to quit or not...............

Anyway, i'm changing job soon! Another 2 weeks to go! Going to clarice's company to take over her. I think i made the right choice to leave. Felt very bored doing the same stuff over and over again. Maybe i can't commit for too long. Maybe i just don't like admin jobs. I need to do something that i like! MATHS!

Oh yea, went to NTU open house on Valentine's Day. Listened to the different talks. I REALLY LIKE MATHS A LOT! Just felt that rush when i was listening to that talk. Different from other talks. LOL. Hopefully will be able to fulfil that.

WOO!

Had 3 practical lessons on Monday. Hmm.. Was quite nervous yet excited about it. But my first instructor gave me a fierce look la! =( When i showed him my reporting slip, he gave a LOUD SIGH!!! WHAT THE... Everyone has their first times right..... First time doesn't mean i will be noob right.. But well, after the 3 lessons, the results show otherwise. =(((( I'm still in the small circuit! VERY VERY SAD! I think i know my mistakes. Like always stalling the engine by releasing the clutch pedal too early when starting the car, hitting the kerb when making left turns, not keeping in my own lane, grabbing the steering wheel too tightly, changing gears accurately(depressing clutch pedal before changing) BLAH BLAH....... I really want and hope to go on the road outside soon......... But first, i must correct my mistakes. My 3rd instructor told me i must respond accurately and quickly to instructors' directions. So FAST REACTION TIME! I must do better next lesson!

Anyway, i hope i get more handsome instructors, like my 2nd and 3rd ones! =D

Frustrated!

Hmm.. I'm still considering whether to take up clarice's place in her company. I am offered to be an accounting intern in the company. Went for an interview yesterday and its all up to me now. Don't know if i should go. The main reason why i want to go there is hopefully, i would be able to learn more stuff about accountancy. Well, i'm still deciding which course to take in the U. So getting more experience in the different areas would be good. AHH! And also, the welfare benefits provided are GOOD! Can go MSN, surf the net, take leave as and when i like, blah blah. Very flexible. And clarice told me her collleagues are very nice!! But precisely because of this flexibility, i think it's kind of SLACK.

Also, I have just familiarised myself with the work and people in my company. Some are fun to be with and whenever they give me work, i kind of know what to do. Now, if i change job next month, i have to familiarise myself with everything again and my colleagues too. It's not that i can't adapt quickly to the working environmentand people, but.. AIYA! FRUSTRATED!

I want to sing that chinese song, 最近比较烦. Not sure if this is the title of the song, but it has this lyric inside. ARGH.

ANYWAY!
having my FIRST practical lesson on monday! hopefully it will be exciting! =)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO PEARL!! =D

Went to celebrate her birthday at jp on thursday! Bought a cake then went to LAI LAI restaurant (i think) to have our dinner. The 3 of us were the earliest and we had to wait for the guys to arrive. We got a small white corner to ourselves! Ate the food.. The portion is quite little, but still felt full after the meal. Then we had cake. HAHA this is the interesting part. The waitress just put the cake on the table, without giving us any utensils or plates. We asked her back, and delvin said "Does the restaurant has a service charge? If yes, then can you provide us with the utensils and plates?" LOL. The waitress was obviously BU SHUANG. She came back and said, "Even if our restaurant doesn't have a service charge, i will gladly provide you with the utensils and plates." What the. She could have did it straightaway without us having to tell her we needed those utensils. But the whole thing is quite funny.. HAHA!

We walked around as usual while the guys bought their stuff and played arcade.

Bought Pearl a bag! Hope she likes it!! MUST bring to work OKAY!! =)

Completed 1 month of my job! Have another 5 more weeks to go..... still not sure whether to extend.. there's still the loyalty to consider. But, i shall see if there are any jobs which give a better pay and maybe nearer location... Hopefully.

And oh! I finally bought my CLUBS ear-rings after going everywhere possible! It's DAMN FREAKING NICE la! quite expensive though.. 20 bucks! But it's the one thing i bought which i like the most! =)
Hope to find a similar spades ear-rings!

Also, my practicals.. Need to top-up money so as to go for practical lessons. Damn expensive la! $59 for weekdays and $68 for weekdays.. Means i need to take leave if not have to pay $9 more EACH lesson. OUCH! expensive expensive!

Went to watch 'the wedding game' with mummy and sis just now. Missed the beginning of the show by a bout 15 mins i think. we told the guy we wanted the 430pm show, but he gave us the 4pm one. Argh.. It's our fault too, didnt check the tickets. well.. The show is okay i guess. Not really funny.

And oh. Forgot to say I PASSED MY BASIC THEORY TEST! Now its the final evaluation and test.. And then practical lessons and tests. Woohoo!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!! =D

On the eve, we went to eat reunion dinner at my grandma's place.
On the first day, as usual we went to my father's side place to bai nian. Ate lunch there. Had a whole table of food. Haha.. not bad as usual and cold too. =x Had durian cake too! My favourite! =) Received Ang Baos but quantity is getting lesser and lesser each year....... SIGH. well, ang baos signify good luck... Met my grandma. She's still very weak after that incident. Still kind of paralysed. Seeing her can't move by herself makes me very sad.... SIGH. Must go visit her every now and then!
Then in the evening, went to my mother's side place for dinner. Haha.. had shark's fin and steamboat as usual. Nice nice! =)
Played mahjong with mummy, sis and bro. Haha. My bro just learnt to play. It was quite funny. I won quite a lot of rounds too. But too bad not gambling. But it was fun la.

On the second day, I went to swaiming's house first with delvin to bai nian. Ate a lot of new year goodies there. Was damn full. Haha. His mum is a good host! Then the 3 of us went yiping's house. He looked different! I couldn't recognise him with his botak head la! LOL. His mum gave us dessert and drinks too. A lot of food. =x Proceeded to Jian wei's house next. Haha. Lau Yu Sheng! The salmon is nice! =D Then went to delvin's house for mahjong!! 3 rounds of mahjong! total lost 2 bucks... LOL. think i can't gamble with mahjong. Keep losing. =x

Had a fun and different new year this year. Celebrated with family and friends. Haha. =D

And my company gave everyone Ang Baos too! YAY!

Well.. the total amount i received was lesser than the previous years, even after added those from company and friend's parents. It's okay la. Happy happy!

Bought a new phone!
SAMSUNG PIXON M8800! Touch screen and 8 megapixels.
Have yet to check out how to download games and etc..
And i'm still getting used to the touch screen.. =D

Anyway, 3 weeks have passed since i last started my job. It was very boring most of the times due to me doing the same stuff over and over again. And i read my contract recently, just realised i need to complete the 2 months if not i have to pay for the remaining days i have not worked. Well.. And i have been allowing job consultants to send my resume over. Luckily im not selected. =x PHEW. But this means i need to rewrite my resume, thats why im not selected................ =(

CNY's in 2 days' time!!! I"M SOOO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! But now singapore undergoing recession, means lesser ang bao money...... sian.
BUT received my first ang bao from my company! LOL. quite shocked to see the CEO give ang baos to everyone in the office. Hmm.. are there anymore festivals or holidays? HAHA..

Work today is still alright. At least there's no filing for me today.. YAY! And, my executive is quite good to me!! He told me if i'm hungry, i can grab his biscuits to eat! =D But still feel paiseh about it. It's like damn random when he told me that. I realise its very hard to make a decision. On one hand, 3 people in my team treat me well and on the other hand, 1 not that friendly and approachable. Sian. Whatever.

Anyway, i was off early today due to some CEO talk the whole office(except temp staff) has to attend. But i don't like it. 2 hours of my pay is gone like that. =( Shall find one day to work it back. Plus this CEO talk may be held a few times a month. More money will be gone. ARGH!

There's 1 word to describe my current job.

BORING!!!

Mostly i did was filing and filing and filing! I didn't learn anything when filing.. maybe how to file and sort out the different policies quickly? Argh.. And someone is not really willing to teach me anything. I just want to learn new things and gain more experience, be it computer skills, knowledge or communication. Or maybe EQ. Well, i heard from other temp staff that they learnt stuff from their mentors.
Whatever. I shall just do my job and last until the end of my contract. What's the use of being unhappy? Just go to work happily everyday and do my part in assisting my team so that things can be completed fast. I'm getting over this soon....

NEW JOB!

This week had been quite a boring and tiring one for me.
The workload keeps piling, but i still finished them by the end of each day. That's the good thing. haha.
But but!!! it's really boring la.
All i did was filing (for most of the time), writing claims, photocopying, data entry.. well, at least i learnt much more than my previous job. =x
Still thinking if i want to stay on for the job, cause its quite confirmed that they will extend me till may. And i heard other temp staff telling me they are quite stressed.. I want to try other kinds of jobs, like customer service or receptionist. I want to get out of admin jobs! =( well, shall see how things go the next few weeks first.

Have another interview tmr. Mummy asked me to go for it. It's still an admin job, but she says can learn more.. well.. maybe maybe. Pay is more, but the place is quite ulu. Needs to take train and bus there. WELL..

NEW YEAR EVE today.. another few more hours and 2008 will be over..
this year had been exciting and full of events for me.
had 'A' LEVELS.
had lots of first times this year.
had many happy, sad and disappointing times. but i have many nice and good friends who are always there for me. =)
learnt many things.
went to many outings together with my class and got to know them much better. =)
learnt how to judge people more clearly.
went for many interviews and gained more experience. found out what the employers want basically.
had my first work. realised sometimes its not whether you are good, but actually because they need manpower.

anyway, going for countdown soon!!

it's going to be 2009 in a few hours' time!

though its a no-brain job, the many files to zap just gives me headache..

just came back from final theory practice.
WAH WAH! failed 8 out of 9 booklets i did la.......
i think its quite hard.. very confused about the clutch pedal and brakes.

went ESCAPE with some of the class people today!

haha.. most of them didnt go there before actually.. but dont think they were as excited as me.. =x
YAY! viking! it was quite scary for me but more scary for cynthia.. =x but its very fun! one of my favourites! haha. played like 4 times..lol. but i must say cynthia and tuck hing are brave! really brave! they still sat for 3 to 4 times even though they are scared.. if its my sister, i BET she wont dare to after the first try.. =x

we also played flipper(the one at the entrance), haunted house (woah..very very scared at first..kept grabbing jin zhe's and tuck hing's hand. LOL! then realised it was quite okay i think.. there were no real people inside..), yakult(the superman thing- quite giddy as usual), DAYTONA GO-KART!!! (my most favourite actually but got some accidents =( nevermind..will improve!), the roller coaster and WET AND WILD! (another favourite of mine! played 2 times!)

maybe we can go to the water theme park the next time!! HAHA!

they were quite boring actually.. felt like sleeping for a few moments..

then planned to watch a movie after that. but we went jin zhe's house first.
haha.. played some scary hotel game. not really scary, but i jumped everytime something appears. =x
sometimes i'm already mentally prepared that something will appear, but just couldn't control myself. jumped again. =x
watched jin zhe played with his pet in pet society. LOL. he seriously likes that game a lot!
tried dota again. i think i have made some improvement, but it seems confusing.

then went to make jin zhe's army specs.. haha. the cheapest one you can find i think! LOL! but anyway, its for army.

went to watch YESMAN! woohoo! it's very funny! quite romantic too.. =x

but got an appointment. hopefully that's true so i can get my pay.

position i think is handling accounts like delivery goods, invoices, purchase, service requests, communication with overseas companies through email blah blah..
i want to try this job!! sounds interesting and i will be able to learn a lot!
another plus point is because its very near my house! just 15-20 mins walk there!

didnt ask many questions about the job because they have already explained it clearly to me.. maybe i didnt appear interested or didnt smile enough.. maybe one consultant said correctly, that i always show a black face..

whatever it is, i really hope to get this job.
if not, learn from my mistakes and continue job hunting then.

hmmm..

yesterday i received a call from recruit express. she got me a job as an admin temp staff for 6 months. its on a contract basis at $6.50/h. location is tanjong pagar. i rejected it. i think i made the right choice to do so.

firstly, i do not want to do admin work for the whole 6 months, just simply photocopying, filing, answering phone calls blah blah.. it will be boring after a while.. i want to learn more things other than just these. i want to further my microsoft skills. i want to learn how to do sales. i want to be a retail assistant. i want to try many many kind of jobs as possible.

secondly, i do not want to sign a contract for so long. in other words, i don't think i can or want to commit for so long. there are many terms and conditions in the contract and if i fail and neglect some duties (which is possible if i have many things to do), 1 month's pay is gone.

yeah..

hopefully another job comes my way then!

going to go for another 2 interviews today.

1. 1215pm chinatown
2. 230pm commonwealth

haha.. had basic theory evaluation today! woohoo!! =)) full marks! but the questions are exactly the same as those from practice la, so nothing to be really happy about. LOL. but 70 qns picked from 265 qns in the practice papers.. not bad huh? LOL..

and i realised something. has the font become bigger? LOL.

anyway, i have worked 1 week as an admin staff. cant really say admin cuz all i did was photocopying, filing and assisting the fellow staff in the office. it was pretty boring and i felt DAMN left out... =(
they treated me as transparent, even my supervisor who is supposed to look after me. but well, i survived the week with not many people to talk to as i was 'locked up' in the photocopying room and having lunch with mummy and sister. i was in the room most of the time!!

now, have to look for another job! but i have something to add to my resume.. job experience! LOL.. =p

just sent a lot a lot of resumes.. haha.. hopefully they get back to me asap!

very busy lately.
need to memorise basic theory of driving.
find jobs.
go for interviews and prepare the relevant documents.
finish my drama series.

christmas is coming!!
looking forward.

Been looking around for a job for the past week. got one finally and its a 1-week job. starts on monday as admin staff. haha.. good and bad points about a 1-week job. can get some experience first so i can roughly gauge what is like working outside and with this experience, when i apply for another job next time, it will be easier cause I HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE NOW! LOL! well.. the bad thing is i need to apply for another job or a few more jobs to last me for the rest of the 6 months or so, which is a tiring thing to do. need to go for interviews again, blah blah..
BUT.....
its okay! im in terrible need of some cash now due to several reasons below:

1) Driving Lessons at Bukit Batok Driving Centre (this costs a bomb)
2) Need for Office wear for work
3) Gambling =x

Been quite busy nowadays too.. cause i have to go for training sessions to learn network marketing. (some sales and business thing) the thing is its all the way at EUNOS! woah.. have to travel to-and-fro and travelling time takes about 50 mins there. so 1 hour 40 mins wasted for travelling each time i go there.. =( but anyway, just to give it a try. the pay is attractive.. haha. =p

have to go tmr too and i need contacts urgently!!

2sb5 CHALET!! (4th to 6th dec)

met up to buy wine at giant first. then went to pasir ris for lunch and buy bbq stuff. proceed to check in. but there were some problems with it. made me damn pissed, but its my fault after all. just dont make the same mistake again..

slacked and the guys wrestled. LOL. it was raining so we stayed in. quite boring. so went to explore the place. haha. had dinner and played arcade. drums!! and went for movie--BOLT! BOLT was SO DAMN CUTE!! super bark! =D that was a midnight show. it was lights out after that.

woke up at 7 plus. it was quite early. went mac to have breadkfast. ms kuah came later. went for arcade again! haha.. drums and daytona again! =) then it was lunch and movie treat by ms kuah again!! THANKS SO MUCH! quite bad to let her treat again and again.. i think its the 3rd time already.. another few hundred bucks gone for her.. opps =x anyway, THANKS A LOT! =D

then ms kuah went back home and we started to prepare for BBQ! woah.. poor cynthia and me! but enjoyed it anyway. then the rest came to help one by one. thawed the food for quite long. but still some food turned out to be...... AHEM!! sian.. especially the otah. wasted 2 full packets.. next time no more otah for bbq cuz we dont know how to cook it.. =x and the satay too.. but i guess everybody enjoyed the wine and beer! haha.. i enjoyed my red bull! =)

then went to rent 2 dvds to watch. THE COVENANT and ONE MISSED CALL. haha. the covenant was not bad. quite nice. one missed call was better. haha! the scene where everybody just started to imagine what was going to happen next was simply FUNNY!! so maybe the movie isn't that scary after all. it was actually due to everybody's reactions to the movie.. some hid behind their blankets while some use their hands to block.. HAHA! damn funny! then it was lights out.

haha.. had a nice sleep actually. better than the first night. but poor cynthia.. she got squeezed by derrick and me. =x

woke up at 930am and we were quite late. cuz had to check out by 10 if not have to pay a fine.. haha.. we were on time. went for breakfast at kopitiam then went home.

slept from 1 all the way to 8 plus! 7 hours! haha.. ate dinner then slept again at about 12.. nice sleep!

met up on sunday as a farewell for derrick cuz he's going japan! OH..he's in japan right now! be careful when you go to TOKYO! LOL.. had dinner at newton food centre again! YAY!! =) STINGRAY rocks! =D

2nd dec: (Seniors' Night)

preparation:

had my hair done at kimage.
highlighted red and gold and had soft rebonding.
total cost is $359.25!!!!!!!
heart pain.. never spent so much on hair before..
didnt intend to rebond hair actually but the hairstylist says my hair is very messy.. so to better handle it, REBOND! he didnt specify the word REBOND.. but anyway, what's done cannot be undone.
YEAH.. I SO LIKE MY HAIR NOW! =)
and hope its not too ah lian....... =x
(but the colour seems to be fading away.. especially the gold colour. just after 3 washes.. =( very sad and heart ache..)

then bought a black dress for $138.. (haha.. my sis paid for me.. =x THANKS THANKS! )
went shopping for many days just to consider over and over again which is the best..
accompanied clarice, pearl, cynthia and my sis to shop around too..
think i spent 4 days consecutively.. got a little sick after that but recovered soon..

frustrated over whether to buy a pair of shoes or not.. cause im super broke after done my hair.. =(
still bought a cheap one.. haha..

didnt buy any accessories or so.. same reason..

the day itself:

mummy helped me with the makeup. haha..must say that she's not bad in doing so.. thanks for that! =) took about 1 hour or so..
then it rained very heavily.. luckily daddy was still at home.. got a lift from him to jovia's house.
cynthia and xj were at her house doing makeup.. ( im very broke so didnt want to spend money on makeup.. it costs 50 bucks okay! )
then left for shangri-la near 6pm.
reached there at 630pm i guess.

haha.. realised we were damn early.. loitered and explored the place..
started taking pictures..
woohoo!
saw many handsome guys and pretty girls around.. cant recognise most of them actually.. they looked so different!

then went in.

too bad was busy taking photos so didnt try the steamed fish.. =(
and after the 3rd or 4th dish, was feeling quite full already..

at least these were the few i ate..

OH YA! didnt have a chance to take a class photo! =(((

then it was post prom!
16 bucks to a bar and for a standard drink..
i think i had vodka plus coke.. not that bad.. but sprite is nicer..
danced around..
had a great time.. better than prom itself i think..
but couldn't get used to the atmosphere.. too noisy and the lights are hurting my eyes.. so my ears hurt too..
stayed until 4am.
then asked daddy to fetch me and cynthia home..

had a bad scolding from daddy in the car..
i think no more late nights for me.................
as for mummy, she scolded me through sms.......... wonder when im going to have a face-to-face scolding from her.... hope not today... cause tmr is chalet!

reached home around 5am..
washed up and by around 545 im done.
went to sleep and got woken up by sis today at around 130...
cant get back to sleep already.....

woah..
tried and tried and tried many many dresses..
it was very difficult to change out of my jeans and change into the dress umpteen times..
so got quite sian after a few trys..
but well.. still cant find any that i like, the price is right and it is unique..
quite like a few but the price is too ex for me to afford..
so, gonna make up my mind TODAY!
hope my parents will fork out some money for the dress... if not.. =(

but before going to shop, im going back to my sec school to apply for relief teaching..
hope it will turn out fine..

and after that, may go highlight my hair!!
